Top moments from the perfect Norfolk wedding venue

1. Hautbois Hall

Hautbois Hall is situated in Little Hautbois, Norfolk. Completely surrounded by countryside, lakes and a train track which runs right past it. This is the perfect countryside escape and the ideal place to celebrate your wedding with loved ones. Hautbois offers a 2 day exclusive hire, has it's own accommodation and offers inside or outside ceremony locations.

Sophie and James held their wedding day at Hautbois Hall in October with a nice autumnal theme in mind. We had plenty of rain but also some glorious spells of sunshine and this is where Hautbois is perfect. Great in any weather with it's lovely courtyard and plenty of outdoor shelter.

2. This Funny Moment

3. The Weather

I know weather isn't something you can control, you really have to make the best of whatever happens and if it comes to it, embrace the rain!

Saying that... For a wedding near the beach, this was perfect. A blue skied day which led to the most amazing golden hour on the beach. I got so carried away getting amazing shots of Laura and Mark that a wave took me by surprise and I spent the rest of the evening sockless.

4. The Party!

We have all the big moments throughout the day; the first kiss, the confetti, first dance, cake cut etc. which are obviously key moments in your films. But every film needs a good ending, it needs a climax that really emphasises the vibe of the day.

Seeing an empty dance floor after the first dance can be a bit deflating (maybe selfishly) because a good party is the ending I always want in my films. This wasn't one of those deflating momenets, in fact this was probably one of the best dance floors I've filmed. Everyone was having a great time, Laura was up on Mark's shoulder, there were a few shirts being swung around heads.. The exact madness that should close any wedding film!
